Welcome to Distant Picnic. This is an online collaboration between three food-obsessed friends (Anne, Kristi, and Brendan) who live thousands of miles apart. Anne (A$) lives in San Diego, California, Kristi (KC) lives in Columbia, South Carolina, and Brendan (Lil B) lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. When we do get together, we spend many hours talking about food, cooking together, adventuring to find food, and of course, eating.
How did we meet:
We all went to the University of Notre Dame. Anne and Kristi were thrown together as roommates freshman year and liked it so much that we roomed together all 4 years. We were already food-obsessed as freshmen starting a tradition (along with Anne’s boyfriend at the time now husband B$) of each cooking a meal for the others during Study Days/Exam Week. At the beginning of senior year, Anne met Brendan through marching band, and the three of us started hanging out and cooking together. Our food adventures have spanned the globe.
